  59.   tex.web and mf.web have a special license; essentially, they are
  60.   public domain, but no modified version may use the same name, and
  61.   the names "TeX" and "MetaFont" for the resulting programs, unless
  62.   they pass the TRIP and TRAP tests.  Online, the complete license

  113. 4. Text of the licenses

  115. The source code for tetex-bin contains the following license:

  117. The files within this directory are all free software. Most of these
  118. files are copyright by some author(s), but I have taken care that
  119. the following conditions are true:
  120.   - all files can be distributed: no license fee is required.
  121.   - using these files (even for commercial purpose) is not restricted.
  122.   - modification of files is allowed or an existing translation scheme
  123.     effectively makes modification unnecessary. E.g. Knuth's WEB files
  124.     must not be changed, but the build process allows you to change
  125.     the generated .c files by "change files". Please, check the license
  126.     of a file before you do modifications; you might need to mark those
  127.     modifications or to rename the program.
  128.   - the distribution of modified files and subsets of these files is
  129.     allowed, but please check the licenses if you do that.
